A traditional single storey reclaimed brick and flint extension designed by local architect Thomas Faire.
The original design allowed to renovate the existing outbuildings and incorporate them into the main house with an open plan lounge/kitchen link extension.
Upon closer inspection we agreed with the architect to demolish the outbuildings. This allowed us to taylor the whole build to the clients exact requirements within the original budget with the added assurance of a new structure with no unforseen costs often associated with renovations.
The build incorporated a garage/store, utility room, boot room, w/c, and a lounge with a vaulted ceiling opening into the new kitchen. We also converted the dining room into a spacious entrance hall with a bespoke softwood porch over the front door.
Travative flooring was used throughout the build except for the lounge which was 180mm wide engineered oak.
Idian stone terraces were laid to either side of the lounge extension to make the best of the light throughout the day.
The customer was delighted with their project and entered us into the Master Builder of the year awards for our outstanding work. They have asked us to return at a later date and update the rest of the house. |
