Two identical bespoke four bedroom houses built in a traditional style of red brick and flint, yet incorporating a number of examples of the latest in green technology.
The plots were previously occupied by two makeshift bungalows built around railway carriages. These were demolished and the carriages sent for renovation.
Both houses incorporated three bedrooms upstairs with a large family bathroom and a luxury en-suite to the master bedroom. The vast accommodation downstairs comprises of a further bedroom with en-suite wet room, a large lounge with feature fireplace housing a wood burner, an open plan entrance hall, kitchen diner, utility and cloak room and a sun room opening out onto the garden.
The heating was provided by an air source heat pump providing under floor heating down stairs and radiators upstairs. The build also incorporates a rain water harvester which serves the cisterns, washing machine and outside taps.
As always we worked closely with the client to keep the project on budget whilst building in additional features to give them an individual appearance. |
